Hi everyone! I’m Komela, the one woman show behind Alohiʻena. I am currently a college student pursuing a teaching degree while also working two jobs and making sure you all have amazing skincare products through Alohiʻena! Business officially started for Alohiʻena in December 2018, with the dream of one day becoming a full skincare line for everyone regardless of skin type. As I cannot use many store bought skincare products, a result of all the alcohols and unpronounceable ingredients they fill them with, I sought to find good quality and affordable all natural skincare products. Not being able to find any locally made ones that worked for my skin, I began making my own. After a while, I was making products not only for myself, but for my sister, then my mom, and soon all of my friends. From there, Alohiʻena was born. In the short three years we have been in business, we have grown so much all because of amazing customers like you! Without your support we would not be anywhere near where we are today and I cannot thank you enough.

Now, I know you’re all wondering what Alohiʻena means right? Alohiʻena means to have a “radiant glow” or “radiant brilliance.” We aim to make products that get everyone closer to having a radiant complexion and the confidence to glow everyday.

Handmade in Honokaʻa on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, we are dedicated to bringing you only the best. From all natural and organic ingredients such as organic shea butter, jojoba oil, and cacao powder to Raw Hawaiian Honey and 100% Kona Coffee, we strive to bring you only all natural and gentle products for your skin. All of our products are hand crafted, hand labeled, and made in small batches to ensure quality.

Shopping locally is super important to us not only because we’re a small local business but because it also supports others who are following their passion. To us, it is giving back to the community that lifts us up and keeps money within the islands, not circulating through big box stores.
